God’s Word is the Seed In the beginning, when God made man in His image, He blessed him and said: “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it...” (Genesis 1:28) That blessing was a seed planted in mankind — a seed with power to grow into a life full of fruitfulness. Jesus used the same picture when He said the Kingdom of God is like a man who planted a seed, and even though it was small, it grew into a tree so big that it housed the birds of the air.
